 Certificate order help

Process for ordering a certificate

  1. Complete all mandatory information on the marriage notification form
  2. Save the form
  3. Order a certificate from:
    1. the button at the bottom of the form, or
    2. the saved drafts list (select Request certificate to the right of the draft)
  4. Submit the marriage notification form to BDM
  5. Pay for the certificate from the submitted list

Certificates should be ordered before submitting the Notice of marriage to BDM.

Filling out the certificate order form

Then return to the Drafts list to submit the marriage notification, then pay for the certificate.

Cancel a certificate order

From the Drafts list:

  1. Locate the party names. It will have ‘Yes’ under ‘Certificate requested?’
  2. Select ‘Delete certificate’. You will be prompted to confirm.

Certificate orders cannot be cancelled after the notice of marriage has been submitted to BDM.
