Working with drafts

If you want to order a death certificate, you must do so before submitting the death registration.

Edit a saved draft

From the Drafts list, locate the record you want to work on and select ‘Edit’ in the Edit column.

Submit a death registration to BDM

From the Drafts list:

  1. Check that the draft’s status is ‘Ready to submit’. If not, there are details you still need to provide
  2. Tick the box beside the deceased’s name
  3. Click the Submit button below the Drafts table
  4. On the confirmation page, click the Confirm submission button
