Family violence and privacy

If the mother has concerns for her safety:

• She can notify BDM of these concerns during the birth registration process. We do not give out any information about people experiencing family violence
• Her legal name needs to be on the notice of birth, even if she is checked into the medical facility under an assumed name

Stillbirth gestation period/weight

Stillbirth are defined as minimum:

• 20 weeks gestation, OR
• 200 grams weight

Time of birth

Format: 24 hour time including a colon, e.g. 15:45
